Your Appointment
Please ensure that you have obtained a referral letter from your GP or other specialist and that it has been sent to our practice in order for Dr Tsimiklis to appropriately triage the referral. An attempt will be made to book you in for review as soon as possible and priority will be given if the condition is particularly urgent or if you are suffering from pain or functional impairment due to your condition.
If you are a new patient to the practice, please download the “Confidential Patient Registration Form”, complete the fields and bring the completed form with you on the day of your appointment. Alternatively, you can scan and email it to us (email address provided within the registration form PDF).
Regarding radiology, we will have access to your imaging online and as such, unless directly requested to do so by Dr Tsimiklis, you do not need to bring a report, CD, USB or films with you.
Upon arrival to your appointment, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and directed to the waiting area. Dr Tsimiklis encourages you to bring a family member or close friend with you for support and to help process the information.
Please consider any potential questions that you may have prior to your appointment and even write them down so that you don’t forget to ask them. If you require an interpreter, please notify us in advance so that we can make necessary arrangements for your appointment.
We will assist you with booking further investigations (including if required prior to the appointment) and/or making follow-up arrangements as needed.
If Dr Tsimiklis recommends a surgical procedure, he will discuss this with you in detail and you will be provided with a “Patient Surgical Pack”. This will include a summary of your planned procedure (with advice on fasting and any medications that you will need to withhold prior to surgery), admissions information (with contact details for the hospital that you will be treated at), information regarding the anaesthetic process and information regarding surgical fees.
Please note that Dr Tsimiklis is happy to see uninsured patients for an opinion. Should a surgical procedure be recommended, this may need to be appropriately directed to the public system for triaging or in certain circumstances, self-funded surgery can be considered.
Also note that Dr Tsimiklis is not presently accepting referrals regarding third party insurance or ReturnToWorkSA claims. The exception to this is regarding approved Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) cases.
If you have any questions or need to reschedule your appointment, please either phone us on 0401 627 231 or email us via our enquiry form on the contact page.
